Pallet racking uprights are the vertical columns that make up the frame of a pallet rack system. They are typically made of steel and are designed to support the weight of pallets and other items that are stored on the rack. The uprights are connected to horizontal beams, which provide the actual support for the pallets. The height of the uprights, as well as the length and spacing of the beams, will depend on the size and weight of the items being stored and the design of the pallet rack system. Pallet racking uprights are an important component of any pallet rack system and play a critical role in the overall stability and safety of the system.
Pallet racking uprights are an essential component of a pallet racking system, as they provide vertical support for the load. They must be properly designed and installed to ensure the stability and safety of the system. In a pallet racking system, the uprights are typically spaced at regular intervals and the horizontal beams are placed at specific heights to create storage levels. Pallets are then placed on the beams, with the weight of the pallet and its contents being supported by the beams and transferred to the uprights.
Punches run the length of the hanging plate at standard intervals where the cross beams are connected, most of them are 50mm or 75mm pitch.
Steel coil through the rolling equipment to form the upright and beam, beam usually have P beam and interlock beam, upright usually have diamond hole and teardrop hole.
Through welding, the hanging plate and beam; upright and footplate are closely connected together, which effectively strengthens the stability of the rack structure.
Polish the product after welding, then use electrostatic powder spraying technology on the surface, and finally use the high-temperature baking process to ensure a smooth surface.
Finally came to the last step. After the production of the product is completed, we usually package the exported goods to avoid long-distance transportation damage and seawater erosion during shipping.
If you don’t buy your pallet rack beams and pallet rack uprights from the same supplier, then the pallet rack beams you buy may not fit the pallet rack uprights, which can make it very difficult to install. You need to ask the pallet rack upright manufacturer before you buy the uprights, and if possible ask them for a free sample for you to test. You can avoid this problem if you buy pallet rack beams and pallet rack uprights from Mracking.
Due to the different molds used by different pallet rack upright manufacturers, resulting in a variety of styles of pallet rack uprights, the most common styles of pallet rack uprights on the market are as follows：
For your convenience, Mracking offers the following pallet rack upright sizes for your selection:
The height of pallet racking uprights depends on the height of your warehouse. Generally speaking, most companies have a warehouse height of less than 10 meters, so we commonly see pallet racking uprights with a height of 3-8 meters. Using the ASRS system as a reference, the maximum height of pallet racking posts that Mracking can manufacture is approximately 28 meters.
The use of upright protectors for pallet rack uprights is not mandatory, but from a safety point of view, Mracking recommends that you use upright protectors for pallet rack uprights, which can greatly reduce safety hazards by preventing rack collapse due to forklift impacts. And, in terms of cost, it is also affordable.
Typically, Mracking uses Q235B cold-rolled steel to make pallet rack uprights. This steel is hard, tough and has a long service life, making it an ideal material for pallet rack uprights. However, the disadvantage of Q235B cold-rolled steel is that it tends to rust. In order to overcome this problem, Mracking will use electrostatic powder coating process to coat the surface of the upright with a layer of paint, which can effectively prevent the problem of rusting of the upright. The pallet rack processed by this process will not produce problems such as paint loss and rusting even after ten years of use under normal environment.
Of course, you can purchase only pallet rack uprights. But in order for the pallet rack beam and pallet rack upright to fit, I suggest that you buy from the same pallet rack manufacturer. If you purchase pallet rack beams and pallet rack posts from different pallet rack manufacturers, you may find that they are not as easy to install. For this reason, we often provide a free sample to customers who have already purchased from another pallet rack manufacturer for inspection to ensure that the pallet rack parts purchased from Mracking will fit the customer’s existing pallet rack.
For safety and installation reasons, we do not usually sell used pallet rack uprights. Used pallet rack uprights are bent to some degree due to the weight of the load. This can make it challenging to reinstall, for example, if the pallet rack beam does not fit the pallet rack upright perfectly. And, in the event of a safety incident, should you call a pallet rack manufacturer or a used pallet rack vendor?
Mracking offers a five-year warranty on the pallet racking uprights we sell. During the warranty period, if there is a non-manufactured quality problem, you can contact us for a free replacement. If the damage is caused by forklift impact or other man-made damage, we can also repair or replace it for you at a cost.
